History

The Community Economic Regeneration Team was formed in 1997 as a social enterprise company by Chris Mason, Neil King and Rick Keightley to address the plight of local communities during the economic downturn of the 1990s.

During a period of high unemployment, low academic achievement and declining industry the company was set up to facilitate community econonic development to help create jobs, businesses and improve skills in the North East Lincolnshire area.

The trio met whilst working for a sub regional development agency and over the last 10 years have established a team of highly knowledgable and effective professionals that believe in practical community and neighbourhood based regeneration solutions that improve the economic status of local communities and individuals.

The company started up with a mere £3,000 capital raised from its first piece of consultancy work in neighbouring Lincolnshire and to date has delivered in excess of £8 million of public sector contracts, delivering all projects to target and within budget.
