Creating a Vision for
the Immingham locality

A market town is classified as a town with population range between 2,000 and 20,000 with the ability to serve people in both the town and its surrounding countryside.
The Countryside Agency has put in place a series of strategies to improve Market Towns and their sustainability and Immingham has been granted the opportunity to undertake a Healthcheck.

A Healthcheck is the first stage in this strategy. Its purpose is to enable local people to identify the economic, environmental and social strengths and weaknesses of Immingham and its surrounding area.
Also to look at the impact of changing local circumstances. Thus laying the foundations for creating an action plan for revitalisation.
