Next Steps:
A wide- ranging discussion about the next steps for the partnership took place. The partners felt that it is essential that community expectations should not be unrealistically raised but equally the work of the partnership should continue up to, and during, the selection process and beyond.
It was also agreed that although the Healthcheck did the job it was intended to admirably, it would not be useful in itself as a tool to generate interest in the wider community, particularly with smaller community groups.
It was agreed therefore that:
The partnership needs to place the Immingham Healthcheck at the heart of several policies and strategies in order to lever in the maximum assistance and participation within North East Lincolnshire Council etc etc.
Dave to identify which strategies/policies etc and who he envisages doing this?
Copies be sent to Yorkshire Forward and the local M.P.
That the Immingham Healthcheck be broken down into "bite size chunks" around areas of concern expresses by the community during the process.
The partnership will then approach interest groups around the area with the aim of extending the partnership and taking first steps towards tackling some of the issues.
Cllr.Barrick and Dave Ranshaw to produce a press release outlining the work to-date
